Chris Taggart is a former magazine journalist, editor and publisher who got into open data by accident when he found there wasn’t any local data on which to start doing data-driven journalism. From that OpenlyLocal.com was created which has opened up literally millions of pieces of data about local councils, from democratic info, to over £10 billion of spending data. He is also the co-founder of OpenCorporates.com – The Open Database of the Corporate World.
